Selling privately: the eleven photos buyers actually open

Front three-quarter first, tire tread last. Everything in between, in order.

Buyers decide whether to call within the first four photos of a private listing, so order matters as much as quality. Lead with the front three-quarter shot in good light — it's the one image every car-shopping app uses as the thumbnail — then the rear three-quarter, both full sides, and the dashboard with the odometer visible.

End, not start, with the close-ups: tire tread depth, any panel damage, and the engine bay. A buyer who's already interested from the first four photos will forgive a merely adequate tire shot; a buyer who opens to a tire photo first usually doesn't open the next one.
